India’s own coronavirus vaccine COVAXIN developmed by Bharat Biotech could be launched as early as February 2021 after the last stage trials began a couple of weeks ago, Reuters said a senior government official has informed. According to Reuters, a senior ICMR scientist Rajni Kant said, “The vaccine has shown good efficacy. It is expected that by the beginning of next year, February or March, something would be available.” Rajni is also a member of ICMR’s coronavirus vaccine task-force.

The Indian delegation led by NSA Ajit Doval walked out of a virtual meeting of the SCO NSAs after Pakistan sought to project, as Indian officials described it, a fictitious map showing Indian territory as its own.
