Come evening, what’s your favourite way to relax post-work? A cup of chai along with snacks? Ours too! There is something soothing about indulging in some tea-time snacks that makes us foodies happy. We all know that the go-to chai snack is the beloved samosa and we love to indulge in it time and again. What if we told you that you can enjoy samosa with a spicy and tantalising twist? On our hunt for such a recipe, we found Chinese samosa. The classic samosa gets an Indo-Chinese makeover with this delicious recipe.
This samosa doesn’t have the typical aloo filling. Rather, it has veggies like carrots, capsicum, and cabbage bathed in spicy sauces to make a delicious filling for the crispy samosa. Also, unlike the regular samosa shape, the filling is wrapped in a square-shaped maida-based crispy cover. Serve this samosa with chilli garlic dip or sweet and sour sauce.

In a bowl, add the cabbage, capsicum, carrots and a pinch of salt, mix well. Transfer the vegetables to a muslin cloth and squeeze out excess moisture. Heat oil in a wok and sauté garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Add the squeezed vegetables, beans, and corn kernels and season with salt, pepper and sugar. Next, add all the sauces and mix well. Garnish with spring onions and the filling is ready.
Take the readymade samosa dough and roll it out in tiny squares. Fill the masala mixture and close the samosa. Deep fry the samosa till they are golden brown. The Chinese samosa is ready!
