The user interface is divided into various panels. The ribbon provides a shortcut tool for common tasks. At the top of the screen, a 2D area of 16×14 inches (originally 16×16, now extended to 16×20) is available. Its width can be resized with mouse clicks or by using the arrow keys on a keyboard. It includes tools that show the user’s drawing and other information, as well as some functions that apply to the drawing that are not visible. They can also be “collapsed” so that only a portion of the panel is visible, allowing the user to see the other areas of the drawing.
The Drawing window contains the active drawing. There is a large 2D area at the top of the window that displays the drawing. Below this area, a 3D view of the drawing is displayed, as well as some additional information. It has a button to scroll the drawing upwards and downwards. The “fly” feature allows the user to scroll the drawing while it is zoomed, as well as to pan the drawing (move in the x and y directions).
