New Delhi:

So the trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 released on Tuesday and it introduced us to a new Manjulika, in a snippet of the trailer, Kiara Adavni says that she is Manjulia. In the other half of the trailer, she is Kartik Aaryan’s love interest (who claims he can see dead people). Soon after the film’s trailer released, Twitter had inputs. Comparisons with the original Manjulika began. In the original 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Vidya Balan brilliantly played a character with split personality. She was critically acclaimed for her portrayal as Manjulika (Avni’s alter ego). The actress too reacted to the trailer of the second installment (more on that later). First, check out the trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 here:

Vidya Balan gave a shout out to the film’s trailer. She shared a post on her Instagram, where she wrote: “Congratulations Bhushan Kumar and team for this haunted comedy. The trailer looks familiar yet different … Haha! … Can’t wait to experience this roller-coaster ride again. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Watch the family entertainer, releasing in cinemas on 20th May, 2022.”

Coming back to the tweets dedicated to the original Manjulika. “No one can match the level of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s performance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. GOAT movie,” wrote a Twitter user.

Another fan wrote: “Vidya Balan as Manjulika is a league of its own. I absolutely love this portion.”

Vidya Balan as Manjulika>,” read another tweet.

Here’s what another Twitter user posted:
